Weekly Activity

• Our traffic units are out enforcing and ensuring your safety.  Our goal is to educate drivers and make them aware of violations.  The most common violations are speeding, failure to stop for posted stop signs, cellular phones use while driving and lack of attention while driving.  The State of California requires a valid driver’s license and insurance anything less and your vehicle may be towed.
  
  
• With the assistance of Office of Traffic Safety (OTS) the department has received grant monies for stopping and prosecuting all subjects driving under the influence (DUI).  Our department has a ZERO TOLERANCE for DUI drivers and minors driving with any detectable trace of alcohol shall be charged administratively and lose their driving privilege for one year.
